Occupational Therapist (Level 1)

Full Time and Part-time Positions Available:

Southern Adelaide / Fleurieu / Adelaide Hills / Murray Bridge and The Riverland

The Potential Ability Group provides Occupational Therapy services across the lifespan to clients living in Southern Metropolitan Adelaide, The Adelaide Hills, Southern Fleurieu, Kangaroo Island, Murray Mallee Coorong and Riverland regions. We are "committed to supporting ability" by encouraging participation with meaningful activities and providing a high quality, well informed, efficient, community-based therapy service.


We are now seeking to employ Occupational Therapists to join our fabulous OT team in both our Potential Ability and Evolving Potential departments. The positions offer a rewarding opportunity for individuals who have a professional interest in either community based, aged care or paediatric services, or would like to work across both. 

Our friendly team of OTs are very supportive and we are dedicated to both strong supervision relationships and promoting opportunities for professional development. Our service leads the way when it comes to innovative use of the latest Information Technology (IT) and the successful applicant(s) will be trained in paperless practice systems and will use a tablet computer in the field.

The qualities we are looking for include:

  • Ability to self-direct

  • Friendly and enthusiastic

  • Commitment to ongoing development of skills and knowledge within a paediatric and/or aged care setting, e.g. learning opportunities listed on PD plan with AHPRA

  • Willingness to travel (require own vehicle)

  • Computer skills and a positive attitude around utilising technology (tablet provided)

  • Time management, organisational and communication skills


Special Conditions:

  • Current driver's license / own car with CTP insurance

  • Current National Criminal Clearance

  • DHS (DCSI) Disability Services Employment Screening

  • DHS (DCSI) Child Related Clearance / Working With Children Check

  • DHS (DCSI) Aged Care Sector Employment Check

  • Professional Indemnity and Public Risk insurance

  • AHPRA Registration

  • RAN-EC Certificate

  • Child-Safe Environments Certificate



  • Experience in planning and delivering a range of Occupational Therapy services

  • Experience with/understanding of the NDIS and/or DVA funding systems


The salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience. Additional Allowances provided for travel, professional development, phone and internet use.
